Michael is a senior expert at Right Lane focused on strategy and business model development across the financial services, consumer goods, education and media sectors. In particular, Michael is deeply interested in customer-focused strategy, and the disruptive implications of the transition to digital. Michael has been a member of Right Lane’s professional network for more than three years.
Michael’s recent engagements have included:
- Strategic planning: Contributing to a customer-focused strategic transformation at an Australian wealth and asset manager. Developing a digital transition strategy for a major Australian educational services provider. Building an insurance distribution strategy for a major Australian rural services provider.
- Business analysis and modeling: Assisting a major not for profit to map out long-term growth strategy for itself and its broader sector. Developing a customer-segmented offer for a major fundraising organisation.
- Superannuation industry: Framing and conducting analyses to develop Right Lane’s proprietary annual Industry Super Strategy report.
Michael has over 10 years of experience in consulting and research, with four years of strategy consulting at Booz & Company and two years at a sports/media boutique (Colgan & Company).
Michael holds a PhD in telecommunications engineering and Bachelor on Engineering and IT (with first class honours and the University Medal) from the Australian National University.
